Tyler Mason Memorial Award for Trades
Though the bright light and beautiful smile of our beloved Tyler will always shine among us – our hearts are still shattered by the unexpected and tragic accident that claimed his life on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
We have chosen to honour Tyler's memory by establishing the Tyler Mason Memorial Award for Trades at NSCC. This award will support a Park View Education Centre graduate pursuing a trades program at NSCC with preference given to a student pursuing Industrial Mechanical, from which Tyler graduated in 2021.
Tyler is a 2019 graduate of Park View Education Centre, Bridgewater. After high school, he continued his education at NSCC Institute of Technology Campus, Halifax., where he studied to become an Industrial Mechanic. He started his career at High Liner Foods, Lunenburg and then continued onto Atlantic Welding & Millwright Services Ltd., where he worked on the new expansion at Michelin. He was set to become a Red Seal Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in December.
Our family has been changed forever and broken beyond words but Tyler’s legacy of love and the treasured memories we hold close will be with us every moment. Thank you for helping us honour his legacy by supporting the Tyler Mason Memorial Award for Trades.

If donating by cheque please include “Tyler Mason” in the memo line.
