Eric Tibbetts Memorial Fund
Eric Malcolm Tibbetts, dedicated husband, loving father, thoughtful brother, savvy problem solver and hardworking member of his local community, passed at the Valley Regional Hospital surrounded by family on Sunday, January 31st, 2021.
He grew up in Pereau on his family’s farm, where he developed his tireless work ethic and a love for supporting the community, lessons that he transferred on through his hard-working children, employees and Tibbetts Electrical.
Eric loved his children’s friends and his employees as if they were his own, always looking for ways to foster their confidence, build skills and never shying away from giving a ‘Tibbetts tip of the day.’ He found time to volunteer whether it was through coaching various boys and girls soccer teams or simply cheering in the stands – he always made it a priority to be there.
His children asked what he wanted people to know about his life. He stated that he lived a simple, happy and honest life – expressing his gratitude for the love he shared with his wife and his two children. He stated that he had been lucky enough to marry his best friend of 41 years and together they built a successful business and their forever home at Murphy Lake, where they have spent much of their time.
Donations may be made here in his memory to the NSCC Eric Tibbetts Memorial Fund- an electrical program bursary being created in memory of Eric’s dedication to the electrical industry and the mentoring of the next generation of electricians.
