Techsploration
Established in 1998, Techsploration is an award-winning, not-for-profit organization that empowers young women and gender diverse youth to explore careers in Science, Engineering, Technology and the skilled Trades (SETT) – all fields where women are significantly underrepresented. Through hands on, mentor-led programming, Techsploration helps youth in grade 9 - 12 build confidence, overcome stereotypes around gender and careers, learn about a diverse range of SETT careers, and understand that women can and do thrive in these male dominated fields. It also helps students understand career entry, training and educational pathways, including the significance of high school math and science for their future careers.
When we connect young women from diverse backgrounds with female role models and employers who embrace diverse and respectful workplace culture, we open doors to future career opportunities that many young women may not consider otherwise.
We are now able to accept charitable gifts thanks to a partnership with the NSCC Foundation. Fundraising efforts with this partnership will focus on supporting Techsploration’s core programming.
